According to Gartner, global cloud spending will reach nearly $500 billion this year. And with good reason. They were designed by the world’s leading technology firms to provide flexible, agile, always-on, high bandwidth data centers with built in business backup and disaster recovery. It’s what every IT executive is looking for.

They also built security into the cloud, but that’s a different story. That hasn’t worked out as well. The lists of security concerns with the public cloud are long and COVID made them longer.
