Remote Image Capture

Payment & Imaging Core Capabilities – Remote Image Capture

Organizations with multiple locations typically process cheques manually at each site. Every step in this labor-intensive process adds time and additional chance for error. Clearing can take 3 to 5 days by the time the paper cheques are shipped to the central processing office and then deposited to the bank. Training newly hired associates to learn the manual cheque process adds further cost and reduces productivity.

3i Infotech’s Remote Image Capture solutions are designed to help customers streamline processing at their branches and remote centers, improve overall productivity, reduce costs and improve funds availability. Remote Image Capture is a secure, robust, host-independent system that can seamlessly integrate with existing environments. It also supplies management reports to optimize cash management, and real-time information feeds to legacy accounting systems.

Networked Deposit Machine (NDM)
While many competitors approach remote capture by placing a PC in a branch location, we see that as a big operational and security risk. We have taken a clean-sheet approach, with a keen focus on security, and a thorough understanding the type of operator expertise required and available at most branch locations. Our approach is unique in its simplicity, meeting the needs for security, while retaining the ease-of-use factors required for a successful implementation.

Our Networked Deposit Machine (NDM) is built on the latest technology featuring a small touch-screen PC and scanner; the system requires no keyboard or mouse. Networked Deposit Machines (NDM-clients) are placed in each branch location to automate cheque processing, capturing images and data with immediate truncation of paper, bringing the benefits of Cheque Truncation / Image Exchange to a broad, new class of users.
